Groundbreaking for TheAtreeum@SoaringTimbers Unique Event Venue in Annapolis MD

We’re very excited that 610 North Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD
has broken ground and is underway.

This amazing timber frame structure — made up of Yellow Pine, White Oak, Douglas Fir, and Black Walnut — is being developed and constructed at 610 NorthBestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 by The Columbus Club of Annapolis, Inc., a 501(c)2 Charitable Fraternal Organization, in support of The Knights of Columbus Annapolis Council #1384.

Mr. James F. Ryan, Jr., President of the Columbus Club of Annapolis, Inc., and Mr. Raymond P. Sears, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Annapolis Council #1384, and Fred Haller, President, St. Mary’s Schools, broke ground at a late-morning ceremony attended by State and Local Fraternal, Business, Civic, Social, and Non-Profit leaders in addition to members of the Knights of Columbus, the community, and the design and project teams.

This unique event venue was architecturally developed by Woodhouse® TheTimber Frame Company, Mansfield PA. Woodhouse® upholds the philosophy of bettering the environment in three key aspects: Sustainability, Efficiency, and Longevity. Since timber frame buildings use less wood than stick-built structures, they are able to decrease the number of cut trees and increase the sustainability of our forests. With large and expansive windows and doors, timbers soaring skyward, and open to the ceiling, Soaring Timbers will provide a first-class creative atmosphere that inspires. “We are very much aware of our responsibilities to our faith, our families, our community, and our country.” Mr. Ryan remarks. “It will be a lot of fun meeting that kind of a challenge because it will keep everyone at their creative peak with timbers soaring!”
