Timber Frame Raising Ceremony ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND — The Columbus Club of Annapolis, Inc., a 501(c)2 Charitable Fraternal Organization and the Knights of Columbus Council #1384 invited the public to join in and celebrate the raising of Soaring Timbers on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 11:00 AM at 610 North Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
This amazing timber frame structure — made up of Yellow Pine, White Oak, Douglas Fir, and Black Walnut — is architecturally developed and designed by Souza Development. This Timber Frame Raising Ceremony was an exciting opportunity to share the coming of a one-of-a-kind Event Venue! It was history in the making as we honored the historic craft of timber framing and incorporate modern structural engineering and design to create an event venue masterpiece that is strong, magnetic, and inspiring—the beauty of nature both inside and outside.
We uphold the bettering the environment in three key aspects: Sustainability, Efficiency, and Longevity. Timber frame buildings use less wood than stick-built structures. Witness and marvel at how the timber frame is enclosed in the most effective foam-core structural insulating panels, which allow structures to use 30 – 70% less energy. The raising of this well-crafted, custom timber frame amazed and delighted everyone in attendance. The heavy timbers were jointed together with hardwood pegged mortise and tenon joints, eliminating nails. Our timber frame post and beam raising ceremonies also offer a chance for people to witness the culmination of years of planning, designing, craftsmanship, artistry, expertise, dedication, commitment, and devotion to making a dream a reality.
You can experience what your next exciting Event Venue will be in the Mid-Atlantic region. Close to home and business. Close to nature. Close to amazing — with Timbers Soaring!
